Pro Performance Sport is pleased to announce that 17 Year old McDonald Thapelo Ferguson has signed for Albanian based club FK Baylis.
The exciting young midfielder has previous experience with Notwane FC U20 in Botswana in 2019, before heading to the UK to play for Ellesmere College and Academy. He was subsequently called up to the Botswana National U20 team before going on to sign professional terms in Albania.
Ferguson’s trial and subsequent contract was facilitated and managed by Pro Performance Sport sister organisation 90mins+. Another example of the reach of the organisations international scouting and club networks to assist aspiring young players with their dreams of turning professional.
PPS Director Samuel Ramosoeu praised the move and the talent of Ferguson saying “We would like to wish McDonald the very best of luck with his move to FK Baylis. This is just the beginning for him and he has a very bright future ahead. With his experience trialing in the UK and with the National U20 side, he is in a great position to push on and fulfil his potential. McDonald is a great role model for other aspiring players within our ranks, he is dedicated, hard working, and has a genuine passion for the game”.
Ferguson is just the 3rd player from Botswana to play in Albania following in the footsteps of Simon Ramosoeu and Oteng Piero Dipheko.
